 Preventive health care in insular and tropical environments

The University Hospital of La Réunion has organised the 3rd Ocean Health research congress
the 9th and 10th of November 2022
 at the Stella Matutina museum in Saint Leu (La Réunion).

The congress was held in two phases:

 2 days of conferences and round tables dedicated to health prevention in insular and tropical environments, and a 1-day symposium dedicated to diabetes prevention in the Indian Ocean. 

 

These days were an opportunity for actors and researchers in the field of health.

Health Vulnerabilities in the Overseas Territories

The University Hospital of La Réunion has organised the 2nd public health congress
the 12th and 13th of November 2019
at the Stella Matutina museum in Saint Leu (La Réunion).

The congress was held in two phases

A Public Health Congress allowing for the exchange and valorisation of data.
A scientific council to select research projects for the interregion.

These days were an opportunity for actors and researchers in the field of health to take stock of the problems associated with
“health vulnerabilities in the overseas territories”.

Epidemiological and Health Transition Societies

Supported by hospital-university days in the Indian ocean & FHF bodies

The University Hospital of La Réunion has organised the 1st Public Health Congress focusing in the Indian Ocean Region,
the 12th and 13th November 2014
at the Multiplexe Ciné Cambaie in Saint Paul (La Réunion).

The congress was held in two phases

A research workshop on the geography of health in conjunction with the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement
A Public Health Congress and hospital-university days on the place of the university hospital in the Indian Ocean Region

This congress was an opportunity for actors and researchers in the field of public health to take stock of the problems associated with epidemiological and health transitions. The studies presented in the fields of epidemiology or social sciences fo cused on the Indian Ocean Region, but also on other territories with similar issues.

The Health Research Congress is co-financed by the European Union and the Réunion Region
