This congress will also interest anyone wishing to understand the specificities and challenges of health in island and tropical environments. For this third edition, the theme chosen is prevention (primary, secondary or tertiary).

The first symposium on the prevention of diabetes in the Indian Ocean will be held the day before the congress. Everybody is welcome, so do not hesitate to register as well.
Prior to the Indian Ocean Health Research Congress, a day will be held to share and discuss the scientific advances made in the prevention of diabetes in the Indian Ocean.
The program of this day is coordinated in partnership with the University of La Réunion and the DéTROI Research Unit directed by Olivier Meilhac, the PIMIT research unit directed by Patrick Mavingui and the EPI University host team directed by Philippe Gasque.
